The Dinner Party is the sixth and last episode of of Series 1.
Synopsis[]
Karen decides to leave home for Spain, or possibly Greenland, while Jake's issue with bullying is resolved. Pete and Sue prepare for a dinner party with the help of Ben, who gets his first taste of alcohol. The dinner party turns out to be a bit of a disaster, after a revelation at the table sparks an argument.
Plot[]
Ben and Pete are playing table tennis, where Ben gets the first serve, but hits the ball out of the fence. Pete decides to serve instead, and after Ben hits the ball, he claims that he has 1-0 to him. Meanwhile, Karen is preparing to leave home after Sue kept nagging her. She says she's be going to "Spain in a beach, or maybe Greenland, or... Dorking". She says she'll be getting there by train, her plush Hippo had the money, and Pusscat has the tickets. Ben is refusing to play because he keeps losing. Pete tells him not to, and asks "what does Wayne Rooney does when he's losing?", and Ben replies "he kicks people". Karen then finally leaves from home. Jake asks what's going on, and Sue also explains that she doesn't actually leave home, and that she just goes to the crossing, since she's afraid of the main road. However, as she's about to, Sue warns her to come away from the road.
